What is 1SWASP J140747.93-394542.6 b?

1SWASP J1407 b (formally 1SWASP J140747.93-394542.6 b, better known as J140747 b, or even J1407 b, or by its nickname of super-Saturn) is an exoplanet orbiting a subgiant star (type G2V) similar to our Sun, located in the constellation Centaurus.
1SWASP J1407 b would be a substellar object, that is to say a brown dwarf or even a giant planet.

What is special about this planet?

1SWASP J140747 b owes its nickname of "super-Saturn" to its mass much larger than that of Saturn, and to its system of rings, which is also much larger than that of Saturn.
